Wells is one of those places you wonder why it still exists. The earthquake of February 21, 2008 did its best to destroy the old town that was founded by railroad workers in 1869. It is a convenient town for weary travelers; actually, it is the only town around for about a 100 miles so stop while you can.

Wells has seen better days, probably around 1868 is my guess. But it provides a shutterbug with some interesting photo ops of a ghost town in-the-making. It is definitely worth getting of I-80 or US 93 to spend a while.

I considered Black and White, but this town is just way too colorful!
